By visiting this ACV-website/the ACV-forum, a visitor (visitors and ACV-members, including ACV-candidates) agrees on the following terms and conditions.

The shortcut "ACV" stands for Arrow Cargo Virtual.
The definition "website" does refer to the ACV-website, to the ACV-forum and to the ACVacars' Online Manual (acvacars.com).

1. Privacy policy

Processed data, what and for what purpose

All data you deliver to this website are being processed.
The data are processed for the purpose of this website (to simulate the website of a virtual cargo airline of flight-simulator hobby-sim-pilots).

ACV website

Sole visitor: IP-address, hostname, depending on your system: the website-address you come from, location.
ACV members, additionally: First-name, last-name, email-address, nationality, ACV-password, joining-motivation, ACV-forum posts, ACV-pireps.
ACV members, IP-address is used for geo-coordinates (actually via (api.)ipbase.com).
ACV member's lastname is only fully shown to logged-in ACV-members, else shortened to its first character.
Within the ACV member area the IP-address of each ACV member is used for showing the IP-location on the internal google map.

ACV forum

All data you deliver to the forum are being processed.
IP-address, hostname, depending on your system: the website-address you come from, location.
Public posts may show author's full lastname.

ACV does not sell data to third parties.
The purpose of this website is non-commercial.
But linked websites (e.g. Google, YouTube, Instagram, Discord) may sell data for their own purposes. For more information, see their own privacy policy/settings.

Data storage

The IP-address of each website visitor/ACV-member is stored in a database.
Sole visitor: The IP-address of non ACV-members is stored in the active database for max 2 days (subject to a longer period in the event of abuse of rights)
ACV members: The IP-address is stored for the duration of the ACV membership (active and inactive membership) plus max 90 days

Non-BackUp data is stored for max 90 days
Manually created BackUp data is stored for max 90 days
Automized BackUp data is stored for max 60 days
Posts in the ACV-forum are not deleted after ending/cancellation of an ACV-membership.
Pireps are not deleted in the database after ending/cancellation of an ACV-membership, but anonymized.

Session content

Technical required PHP-session cookie in use.
No advertisement/marketing-tracking cookies in use.
But linked websites (e.g. Google, YouTube, Instagram, Discord) may use tracking cookies. For more information, see their own privacy policy/settings.

Encryption (website, ACVacars)

The website generally uses TSL/SSL encryption (https://) for sending data from the server to the client-browser and vice versa (if not blocked by client's system) and to/from ACVacars.
ACVacars and the website exchange user’s VA-account data, VA-settings data, PIREPs data, aircraft and route data and ACVacars bug-report data.
Such data between ACVacars and ACV-website by itself is not being sent with additional encryption unless TSL/SSL. Except user’s account-password which is being transmitted with additional AES256 encryption.
ACVacars saves the profile-data, flight-data, pirep-data, log-data and log-error-data with AES256 encryption on end-user’s computer.
The AES256 (256 bit) encryption is done by using Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Visual Studio) standard RijndaelManaged service.

Privacy rights

1. The right to get information about own stored/processed privacy data.
2. The right to let correct or to let supplement own stored privacy data.
3. The right to revoke a given acceptance to store/to process own privacy data.
4. The right to contradict against the ongoing process of own privacy data following a legitimate interest to process it.
5. The right to let delete own privacy data, especially when the purpose has changed or has been reached.
6. The right to let restrict the usage of given own privacy data when deletion is not possible or is under contradiction.

Automized e-mail communication

ACV web-server is automatically sending the following e-mail types to registrants and ACV members:
- Account registration
- Account registration accepted
- Account registration denied
- Account/Pilot retired
- Account reactivated
- Account deleted
- Password set back to standard value

Weather METAR data from aviationweather.gov API

Pre-given but optional flightplans use data from flightplandatabase.com
Such flightplans and waypoint-routes are for flight simulation purposes only and are not suitable for real-world aviation or navigation.
